Google Maps leads in Make.

A ready-made scenario that runs a Maps Harvest search and saves the leads to your Google Drive as a new Google Sheet, named after the search and the date. No column mapping.

Set up once

  1. 1Create a free account at mapsharvest.com. No credit card.
  2. 2In the dashboard, open Integrations, then API access, and create a key. It starts with mh_live_.
  3. 3Download the blueprint below. In Make, create a new scenario, open the three-dot menu at the bottom, choose Import Blueprint and pick the file.
  4. 4Open the first module, Set multiple variables: paste your key into api_key and set your search.
  5. 5Open the Google Drive module, connect your Google account, and choose a folder if you want one. Then click Run once.

Questions

Does it work on the free plan?

Yes. Every Maps Harvest plan can create an API key, and the free plan includes 50 leads with no credit card. The scenario uses about 20 Make operations a run, well inside Make's free plan.

Why does it stop checking after four minutes?

Make's free plan ends a run after five minutes, so the scenario checks for up to four. Keep each run to one city. For a whole state, raise the repeats if your Make plan allows longer runs, or use the n8n templates, which wait as long as a search needs.

Will I pay twice for the same business?

No. Maps Harvest never sends your account the same business twice, so running the scenario again only brings, and charges for, businesses you have not had before.

Can Make be told when a search finishes instead of checking?

On the Growth plan and above, yes: add webhook_url to the search with a Make custom webhook's address, and Maps Harvest sends the leads there when the search is done.
